Georgia Implementation Examples Gilmer County, GA - Development in Gilmer County is occurring at a rapid pace, pushing out into agricultural areas. As part of its new Land Use Ordinance, effective September 1, 2005, Gilmer County added a requirement for an Agricultural Use Notice and Waiver. Developers of new subdivisions adjacent to intensive livestock uses must sign the waiver, which must then be shown to homebuyers.
